Some Backers of Todd Standing's "Bigfoot North" Documentary Are A Little Concerned
With 20 backers already contributing to his $900,000 "Bigfoot North" Kickstarter campaign, some concerned backers received a strange email from Kickstarter this morning. According to one person who'd contributed her hard earned money since the campaign started, she tells us that the reward has been changed to "different video". Though this really isn't a cause for concern, there could be a number of things that's happening here. It's possible that Todd Standing is a total newbie when it comes to updating his Kickstarter page and he probably inadvertently changed his page with a placeholder to prepare for fresh content. Another possible reason for this sudden change is probably Standing trying to update his promo video. His current video is pretty vague, doesn't give away too much, so he could be updating the page with a brand new video -- possibly adding (or taking away) more spectacular footage. Mike M., a contributor was a little concerned today and wrote this to Standing:

Todd, I just am email from kickstart that you have changed the "reward" documentary video with a message "some changes had to be made" "different video". What video will I be receiving instead of the new 90 minute documentary? If it's the one that you currently have for sale on your Sylvanic site? I already purchased it, so I don't want another. Please provide more information on what video I will be receiving? And please update your kickstart pledge page as to what video you're offering.

Deletecan't believe there are actually suckers shelling out big bucks for a film that's already made. If he really wants species protection, release your film at your own cost and lobby for species protection that way, just maybe governments will listen to an honest lobby instead of grovelling for hand outs or a get rich quick scheme . but that's none of my business.

Video has already been shown at a small gathering of researchers, of a researcher asking a Bigfoot off camera, to break a branch if the Bigfoot wants to be the researchers friend. The audio was heard of a branch then being snapped. No Bigfoot were shown nor harmed in this "interaction of the first kind". That is one bar that I am aware of, that Todd must clear in order for his video to be "shocking" and/or "unprecedented interaction". Just setting the record straight before Todd the narcissist possibly over promises, under delivers, and over boasts.
