Is The Bigfoot Population On The Decline? Listen To What Todd Standing And Others Have To Say

The 2014 Sasquatch Summit  had a great panel answering one of the toughest questions about Bigfoot ever: How big is the Bigfoot population?

Watch as Todd Standing answer this question eloquently:

    7. When people like you drag innocent people into your cowardly, delusional attacks; then there needs to be something done about it. Should that poor fellow be made aware that you are posting his details and stalking him like a pervert, I'm sure he'll look to seek legal help and he would be very right to do so. When all jokes are put aside, when all the dust settles... You're a crazy coward that epitomises the true psychopathy of a troll. I'll bet your parents are very proud.

    8. ^^ Shut up, Joerg! Why don't you go play with one of your 14 friends?

  2. Just got done watching the latest SurvivorMan Bigfoot episode. I've got to say, it was really good this week! There were a couple unexplainable moments. I give it a thumbs up! (And yes, trolls. You can sit on it and rotate!) :) Uno!

    1. I thought the 2nd episode of survivorman sucked and was boring. Les looked desperate to find something related to Bigfoot.

    2. Hi Uno. I watched also last night as he tried out an assortment of tactics as suggested to him by Doug Hajicek. Unfortunately come 10 00 my eyes usually start to disappear under my eyelids as happened last night. Glad you liked it and will try again come Friday night on the Science Channel and will record just in case.

At 4 51. The second was a bit lame, however he was in pouring rain darn near the whole time which creates big problems when filming by oneself. I did like the Native that was with him some and his relationship with the forest giants.

    3. Chuck. You talking about the episode in Cali or his return to Nordegg to run camera traps above Standing's imaginary "forbidden zone", last night? He caught some image up there. Not sure what, and got some bait sets tampered with and the funny part, was he seemed wholly ready to separate himself from Todd and yet still got his only action in that same controversial spot. The Researcher's lament. Can't get action without going with one of those "damned Footers". ;)

    4. Cuz, Uno and Chuck!! Good people, how are you all?

      Delete
    5. Oh many thanks Redneck Cousin. Response to 4 51 was last weeks show in Cali. One last night was return to Nordegg however I fell asleep after 20 minutes. Wed. comes on Discovery and repeated on Friday on Science Channel. As I said will watch again Friday. Overall I really like Strouds production of his Bigfoot work. I do not think Stroud has disassociated with Standing. You can tell he has spent a lot of time trying to learn habits and practices with the forest giants from several people, then as is his way he goes his own way.

Person I would really like to take this on is Matt Graham. This guy has a great way to approach the outdoors and wildlife and does know about the Sasquatch. It was funny when he and Joe Teti were in Wyoming in the winter and Joe found the cougar tracks, then got worried and weaponed up. Matt on the other hand would try and make a pet of it if he could. Matt once ran side by side with a cougar for a quarter of a mile.

    6. Hi Chuck! Yes, I really liked all of his assortment of camera traps, DNA trap, food stations, etc. He was thinking outside the box, trying new things.

The camera pics at the end show the apple there, and then it is gone. Another pic shows something undetermined there with tree movement. His "dream" is spooky at the end also. It was a very good episode! I watched it twice.

Todd wasn't highlighted nor seen a lot, so I agree with IRC that he was trying to show some distance from Todd. Les did talk about how controversial Todd is in the Bigfoot community.

It was a very good episode! Uno!

  3. I do not agree with this panel at all. I believe that their populations are increasing, albeit minimally/Slowly. I base my opinion on the increased sightings of juvenile and infant BF. True, humanity is increasing and the number of video cameras in field is also increasong, but the number ratios do indicate a small steady increas in numbers.

    1. I think some on the panel make assumptions, that lose of habitat and human encroachment means they must be decreasing. Although some on the panel agreed with you Abohli, that their numbers are increasing. And I believe they are increasing too.

    2. Sasquatch are being seen by more people. I wonder if that shows a direct correlation to their population? More to witness? Uno!

      Delete
    3. It's really unknown if they are being seen by more people. A study using BFRO data showed a decline in reports since 2009, but that doesn't mean people are seeing them less often for several reasons, one of which is there are more BF research groups every year taking sighting reports, and I don't believe anyone has compiled a record of all those.

Chuck commented on an earlier thread that people are less anxious about reporting sightings in today's climate. If true that should increase sightings. And they might be increasing, but I don't believe there's good accurate data at present to say.

I did read an article last year claiming there had been 2,300 reported encounters in North American since 2007, and for every reported encounter many more go unreported.

      Delete
    4. It befuddles me how anyone could be a complete skeptic considering the sheer numbers of reported encounters, many by reputable people, including many branches of law enforcement.

I just saw a video today of a retired park ranger talking about how they existed, and how they had studied their behaviors, but said officially the U.S. Parks Service says they don't exist.

    5. I know right. everyone should believe. it doesnt matter if there is zero real evidence. we know its real. it doesnt matter that no one can actually discover it, or catalog it. we know its real! all we need is the stories!!!

      Delete
    6. I agree with your thoughts Dover. It is the federal stance of non disclosure for their investigative studies and in field research programs that need to be published so that a definitive population estimation and territorial parameter can be given. This is related to what I do for the BLM. Unfortunately, the information that I compile is handled and misapplied due to typical human belief and preconceived ideas. This area of management is in its infancy and not all are open to sharing the environs with these primitives.

    7. ^^^ THE STORIES IS ALL YOU WILL EVER HAVE. LOL. SO GET USED TO IT.

    8. This was talked about here several days ago. One take from me is the bogus data supplied by Citylab, whoever they are. If the info is only being drawn from the Bfro then perhaps people are reporting encounters to other sources of which many more exist today compared to just a few years ago. Also the Bfro only publishes about 10 to 15 percent of all reports they get. This field does not have a great well organized operation like the UFO field does with Mufon.

I think the numbers of Forest Giants is increasing as they are being reported in areas previously not reported. I have first hand knowledge of this in SW Ohio and have been in contact with other people in the Midwest that are reporting the same phenomena. Then we have Mike Brookreson who has had ongoing activity in an area of Texas for darn near two years now. You have to look far and wide to find any previous reports from his region. I will say these are only my opinions. I do also think the Forest Giants are becoming more embolden and adapting to living in closer proximity of human civilization and the rewards of doing this is beneficial to them.

For Dover, I would like to know where to find that video?
For Ms. Fala. There was a lady who went by the name of Jenna, I think, that was on the Sasquatch Chronicle forums earlier this year. She worked for some outdoor agency of the Gov't, I had assumed the Forest Service since she spent much time in fire watch towers and reported some quite amazing sightings she had. With the knowledge you possess Ms. Fala, which is considerable, could you be this same person?
      Respectfully
      Chuck

    10. "There is no evidence"... Isn't this one of your JREF mantras to Scientism? "There is no evidence" is in fact the lie that hate breeders such as yourself endorse because from this very sewer, one does not have to look stupid debating the evidence. Would you like some evidence? Or are you too busy woman hating and psycho stalking to actually really care? I think you're too stupid to fathom it, I also think you're more preoccupied with feeding your psycho disorders too.

What a horrible existence it must be devoting one's entire time to hate and trying to inflict negative feelings on others? Actions speak louder than words; thankfully the case cause I can't quite articulate how much of a slime bag you are.

      I think Abohli looks great.

    16. FYI- I found the pronunciation of Curinqueans fascinating as it is similar to the Karankowans...another large, hairy brute tribe of extinct (?) Indians that sound similar to BF

    18. Him being a pathetic loser whose existence is on his keyboard is a unanimous opinion that I'm sure is held by all here.

Chuck, I submitted the video about the Forest Ranger who knows they exist here to BFE and they posted it today.

A few years ago there was a video of a Park Ranger describing a bigfoot burial he witnessed next to a river involving a small family of bigfoots, but that video was short lived, it went down quickly. That gets into the government cover-up conspiracies.

For every one of those sightings, we have every piece of evidence short of modern type specimen, but we also have 150 years worth of science journals, none more relevant than be anthropological authority of the day bar none.

      Glad I could help.

I didn't watch the video, but I can tell you these BF are growing exponentially! I see more and more evidence every year...the reports are declining because of ridicule, but the sightings are actually increasing IMO.

  7. Totally agree DS except reports are not declining. They are found all over the place. And how are you doing

  8. I would take the panel more seriously if they didn't have Standing on it.
He does not belong in any discussion unless it's all about how to be a hoaxer and pull the (bigfoot) wool over their eyes

  9. Bunch of adults speculating on whether the mermaid or unicorn population is growing, declining, or stabilizing. What a group of absolute idiots. Shameful.

  10. I think what happens to a lot of Bigfoot researchers is, they know they exist, many have seen them (usually seeing one, becomes an obsession, and you must see one again. THAT turns many into Researchers.

Over the years, me and my team have had sightings and encounters with them. You get real close, but just can't get that money shot Video or photo.

So some researchers start to post their Video shots on this site, but upon viewing by others (that weren't there) it looks crappy.
The Blurry of the Video or Photo is cause by
    1. The shaking of the cameraman (you just can't keep your composure as you see one, as it is so overwhelming exciting to see).
    2. These creatures just do not sit still and pose for you. They move, and they move fast. You just can't react fast enough to get them in the view finder! plus your emotions, good all to hell1 Your Mind just cannot process what you are seeing, and many Researchers just freeze up.

Overtime, the Researcher becomes very frustrated (and Desperate) many are Braggers to begin with, so 'some" resort to Hoaxing.
Me and my team over the past 10 years have taken over 50 Video of them (We know they were 100% Bigfoots) but almost all of these Videos would look crappy, fuzzy, and many are taken at long range (You just can't get close enough to these creatures, as our human bodies (even in top Physical shape) cannot compete on uneven Wilderness ground.

Out of all our Videos, only one, that's only one, (after 10 years) is clear enough to see, and the subject performs something that no human, nor any "Bloke in a suit' could do, and that's our 'Bigfoot up the cliff video, as recently reported by My Former Business partner Mr. Frank Evans.
Think what you want, say childish crap it means nothing to us. We are out there trying our best to get Physical Evidence etc. And IT IS very Frustrating!
    enough said.

  11. Nope, Standing made a complete a$$ of himself. It was clear to the panel and most others that he knows very little about the subject.

Why is he suddenly becoming newsworthy on here again?
